INSPIRATION

Psalm 144:1-2.  A Psalm of David.  David’s words of praise and prayer to God, regarding war & victory.  David (well-beloved), the youngest son of Jesse, of a family of ten, was born in Bethlehem in 1085 B.C.  His life may be divided into three portions:  1. His youth before his introduction to the court of Saul; 2. His relations with Saul; 3. His reign.  Psalm 144 is specifically appropriate to David’s victory over Goliath (1 Samuel 17).

This is a great reminder to us to always give God the praise and glory for each one of our victories, and to always seek God in prayer for His help in conquering our challenges (talk to Him; He is your Heavenly Father; He’s there for you 24 hours a day; He wants to help you; call upon Him), because without God we’re nothing.
